On 14th Aug. 2008, in lieu of Independence Day celebration, the Computer Club organized two competitions viz. Net Savvy and Tri-colour Painting. 30 students in group of 2 students each, participated in the event " Net Savvy" and 15 students participated in the event "Tri-colour Painting".
The members of the computer club manage and maintain" Wall Magazine" of the department. Technical articles and articles related to recent advancements in the area of Information Technology are displayed here. The articles are changed every fortnight.
The members of the club helped in organized KitE 2009, an inter college competition which was organized by the Dept of Computer Science and Applications on 20th Jan.2009.
Hargobind Khorana Society
Hargobind Khorana society was established in 2003-04. The society is meant mainly for the students of life sciences including Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Food Science and Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. The society is engaged in various literary and cultural activities to enhance the overall personality of the students in all fronts of life. Various inter college and interdepartmental activities are organized in the academic session in order to develop abilities to use the acquired knowledge and skills. The mission of the society is to create progressive and innovative individuals who are totally in gear with the needs of industry, commerce and public sector. The society provides a dynamic platform to the students to showcase their talents in various areas.

Young Biz Consortium
Young Biz Consortium was established in the session 2003-04 to help the students to discover a completely new side of themselves as we believe in what Swami Vivekananda said ‘each one of us has a spark in him. It is through intellect ingenuity and imagination that we should unveil the hidden talent inside’.
It was promoted by visionaries, nurtured by committed, dedicated educationists and students. Vision
It has gone long way in ensuring a bright future and exposure to our talented and budding entrepreneurs Sharp minded professional who wanted to scale greater heights in the world of business in today’s techno savvy society.
Activities of the society are:
Brainstorm 2004 inter college competition.
Prepare the students for competitions CA/CS/MBA/Banking and Insurance sector aptitude tests.
Industrial visits.
Bank Visit.
Extension lecture to keep the students abreast of the latest developments in the field of the latest developments in the field of commerce and industry.
Visits to Trade fair.
Participation of our students in inter college competitions, youth festival.
English Literary society
The English Literary society aims at promoting and strengthening English language, literature and learning in the service of student's personality building. It rests on the fundamental belief that in pursuing this aim it makes a vital contribution to the shaping of students as global personalities.
Staffed entirely by students with some teachers to guide them, the society inculcates leadership qualities in then by letting them organize and plan various activities. Effective speaking skills blended with sound knowledge are vital for success, For that reason our ELS holds various completion and activities like poetical recitation, paper reading, debate, declamation, elocutions etc., regularly to provide students an opportunity to hone their speaking power. The drama club of the society grooms young actresses by providing then a stage to exhibit their acting skills. Another activity looked forward to by all, each year, is the literary Quiz which judges the knowledge of students in literature and inspires them to thirst for more in order to excel. There is also the opportunity to submit poetry and short prose for publication in our college magazine. ELS also has a committee of students dedicated to providing social activities and academic support for its members.
Members of the ELS are ambassadors of KMV who strive hard in excelling and making a name of their alma mater amongst other institutions.
Hindi Literary council
Since its very inception Hindi Literary council has been constantly at work with the aim of developing the student's interest towards literature. The latent creative skills of the members are chiselled. To polish the creativity of students, inter-class competitions are organized every year by the Hindi Literary council. The activities of the session 2008-09 are as follows:
Essay writing competion-19.1.2009 for making the students well versed with research methology they are promoted to make paper presentaions. The names of the presentaers and their papers are:

Einstein Society
Einstein society was set up by taking students of B.Sc. Non Medical, electronics and computer Science and M.Sc. Physics, to create interest of students in Physics and other related subjects. Being a member or office bearer of the society encourages team spirit and quality of leadership in students.
The main aims and objectives are:-
To popularize physics among students.
To create a feeling of self responsibility.
To manage different events.
In the past the society has been organizing different event like Science Quiz, One day trips, Paper reading contests etc.
During this session, Einstein society has organized the following events:
Members of the society helped in organizing a two day National Seminar on " smart Materials" on 19th-20th September 2008.
The society organized a one day trip to Amritsar on Nov.10th 2008.
The Society is also maintaining a wall magazine in the Dept. of Physics.
The Society members organize class seminars and group discussions regularly. In this contest a group discussion was held on " Large Hadron collider" by B.Sc. III students on 31st January2009.
