Procedure for Admission
Students seeking admission to the college must obtain the college prospectus from the college office. It contains the Admission form.
The cost of the Prospectus is Rs. 150/-(prosctpectus+ Postal Charges) The amount may be sent by demand draft in the name of Principal, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar.
The admission form must be duly filled in by the student. The name on the application form must tally with the name on the Date of Birth Certificate.
Admission is made strictly on Merit cum First-come-First-served basis. The form must the submitted as soon as the admission starts.
Certificates required at the time of admission
Candidates are required to submit the following original documents along with one photocopy of each at the time of taking admission.
Date of Birth certificate.
The Original Certificates of the last University/Board examination passed and an attested photograph.
Character certificate duly attested by the Head of the Institution last attended.
University Registration Card.
Certificates of Merit for meritorious performance in games and co-curricular activities from the head of the institution.
SC/ST/OBC certificates wherever applicable.
An Attested passport size photograph.
Written Test
There will be written Test for M.Sc. Physics, Mathematics.
Students applying for this course should check the site for information and complete the registration formalities for the test.
All students wishing to take the written test have to apply on the college admission form.
The date for the test will be notified on the site and college notice board
The test results will be displayed on the website/notice board.
Declaration
On admission, every student of the college is required to sign a declaration that she submits herself to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the college.
Gap Year Cases
Students who have had a gap in their education must bring documents such as admission slips for any examination taken or ceritificates of courses attended in the gap period, to be eligible for admission to the courses for which they qualify.
Sports Category
Admission on the basis of sports will be decided by the sport committee. The sports department will hold trials and interviews as per the dates notified on the site. See college notice board for dates of trials.
Financial Assistance
Liberal concessions and incentives are provided to deserving students in academics, sports and extra curricular activities.
Full fee concession to students securing above 85% marks.
No tuition fee from students securing more than 80% marks.
Free books to meritorious students.
Scholarships and Stipends
Various state sponsored and National scholarships of central government are granted to poor and brilliant students, viz. State Merit scholarships and National scholarships, National Talent Scheme Award, Sports Talent Scholarship and many more.
Awards and Medals
Gold Medal, Silver Medals and Cash Prizes are awarded to students excelling in various academic and extra-curricular fields every year.
Students with outstanding performance in sports enjoy free education, free boarding and lodging facilities.
